Our Story

About El Camino

El Camino started with a simple idea: to make it easy to choose genuinely good Mexican inspired food.

After several years in the US, founders Magnus and Lene missed finding that same combination of quality ingredients, bold flavours, and casual atmosphere back home in Norway. In 2015, they opened the first El Camino restaurant at Frogner in Oslo.

Since then, we have been serving burritos, tacos, and bowls to an ever growing number of guests. Our food is prepared using ingredients we are proud of, featuring bold flavours alongside the freedom to build your meal exactly the way you like it.

We make it easy to eat well, whether you need a quick lunch, dinner on the go, or want to sit down and stay a while. We combine the speed of fast food with the quality and care you expect from a great restaurant.

Now, El Camino is taking the next step. We are opening new locations, evolving the concept, and working every day to create even better experiences for both our guests and our team.

Our ambition is clear: El Camino will become Norway's preferred Mexican restaurant chain.
